Its the annual Fuengirola (Spain) model show

The bar will have to wait today.................. there's models to be inspected, the colour grey to be debated  and rivets to be counted

By U.S. standards this is quite a small show, although the participents come from all over the Spanish mainland and Canary Islands. Its held at the local (Fuengirola) community theatre and performing arts center,  Palacio de La Paz.

I find the way the models are displayed not always that easy to photograph. The catogories being presented on tables enclosed by glass/perspec screens.

Its a two day show and I only attended the first day so not all the entries were present. I will (hopefully) attend the second day next year.

The "early birds"  no matter where in the world the bargain hunters are usually first in

The first thing to be seen on entrance was this unusual diorama of a street in Pompeii

                                       (before the eruption of course😎)

I told my wife the builder was Pliny the Elder................I'll never go to heaven 😒

Thirsty work this modelling lark......a.pit stop for a glass and a "Tapas"

                                                          Time for another "pit stop"

When you realise (as the clear-cote dries) that the decal is on the wrong wing

Time for a glass of "Fino" and some plump oysters............most restorative............onwards and upwards

A nice piece of "Wiffery"    What IF Soviet bomber

....................and still they arrive

The amount of sundries available to the diorama builder never ceases to amaze me.

I was thinking "everything but the kitchen sink" although Im pretty sure theres one available

These resin casts were available unpainted. The vendor however, provided great inspiration

.....................and the various local "artists" were only to happy to help

As in most modelling shows there was the usual selection of "Odd old coves" mooching

Another vendor/artist showing off their wares

One of the various seminars/presentations. Alas my Spanglish  was not up to the job.

............this model show stuff can be very wearing,a tough job but as they say someone has to do it,

Time for a cold one before a long lunch.

 Espada.......................Swordfish for me
